Hey! Its Frost again! Who'd have figured?
Though his walls are full of Frost already, my best friend (and my website's programmer) asked to have another piece done. But this one would be a little different as it also included Dark Frost, his main villainess on City of Villains. This is his description of the scene: The character in the foreground in lighter blue is the hero known as Frost Magus. The character in dark blue is a villain known as Dark Frost. Dark Frost is basically Frost Magus from another dimension where a small change in events sent her down the path of evil. Eventually Dark Frost was sucked into the dimension containing her hero self, unknown to the hero Frost in that dimension. The villain learned of the hero and became resentful of what she perceived as the good things in her life that were stolen by this other person. This piece depicts the moment of their first meeting. Dark Frost has been planning this moment for quite some time. Therefore, she appears confident as she lays on the wall, knowing that what's about to happen is going to be on her terms. But she's not overconfident, as she grips the way in a way that would allow her to spring into action if required. She calls out to hero Frost who whips around to try to located the source of the voice that sounds strangely familiar. And the fact that it's herself staring back at her doesn't help her shock either. I basically wanted to make this like a splash page from a comic book. I really enjoy doing comic style line work and bold coloring. All in all... it seemed to be just what he was looking for. Pencil drawing inked and colored in Adobe Photoshop CS2 |

Up on the mountain, as the blizzards closed in, there was a red glow in the snow. It was there all winter, and when the spring gales blew, the rubies glittered in the sunshine.
No one remembers the singer. The song remains.
