Dream Theater Inspirations

My little metal chickie in the moon...

This is a piece inspired by one of my two favorite bands; Dream Theater (the other is Porcupine Tree, which already has an inspiration piece done by me). I've been wanting to get this done for a while, and now its finished! It has a few symbolic points in there, but I don't know if any other DT fans will see it around here, so I'm not going to bother with them in the description (but I'll comment as to what they are if anyone cares). Mostly, this is what happened from extended DT sessions.

I used some watercolor-type settings using Photoshop CS2 for this piece. I've only done a watercolor background before, but this was the whole thing (save a couple parts). I also didn't do my usual heavy inking style because I wanted to give the piece a dreamy, surreal feel. I think it all meshed together pretty well in the end.
